Romero, Chance (ext. 4065)

Hello Panthers!

I am Mr. Romero, and I am excited to be your Math 6 and Math 8 teacher this year!

In Math 6, we focus on building a strong foundation in key California Common Core standards such as ratios and proportional reasoning, expressions and equations, and problem-solving with real-world applications. In Math 8, students extend those skills into topics like linear equations, functions, and introductory concepts that prepare them for high school math. My goal is to help students develop confidence in their mathematical thinking and understand how math connects to everyday life.

While mastering math concepts is important, it is not the only priority in my classroom. I strongly believe in helping students grow as individuals to be respectful, responsible, safe, and self-sufficient. I want every student to feel supported and capable of success.

Students will need the following materials to be prepared for class: a box of pencils, one spiral graph paper notebook, one college-ruled spiral notebook, a highlighter, and a calculator.

My classroom motto is: “Practice makes improvement.” I expect students to try their best every day and be problem-solvers, and with consistent effort, they will see growth and success!
